How to Make Juice without a Juicer at Home?
Today I want to tell you about a quick and easy trick to make beet juice without a juicer. I have introduced raw juices into my diet over the past 6 months and I love the benefits I receive from drinking them regularly on an empty stomach. I had previously written to you about the benefits of the amazing green juice and given you a basic and simple recipe to make a greens enriched juice. I used to have my juices with the fibre because I did not possess a juicer. I was in no rush to buy a new appliance, not only because it costs a lot but also because I have almost no space left on my kitchen table top! How many of you have been in such a position?? Hence I used to blend it and drink it fibres and all.
Recently cold pressed juices have become very popular in London and they are really delicious but also super expensive! I wanted to make similar juices at home but I didn’t have a juicer! It was while I was making my Almond milk at home that I realised that I could use the same method to make juice at home without the fibre. Hence I found a cheap and convenient method to make delicious, healthy juices at home without a juicer!
I simply place all my healthy juice ingredients in my blender. I add a little water to make sure it comes together and grinds smoothly. I then use my nut milk bag to squeeze the juice out without the fibre of the vegetables, the same way as making almond milk! It tastes very delicious and is full of flavour and colour like this raw beetroot juice!
How to Make a Healthy Juice?
Of course there is a difference between using a juicer and this method. Since you use a blender, you need to add some liquid such as filtered water to make sure it blends together, especially if your juice is mainly made out of greens. If you have a very high powered blender you will need less water and hence get a more purified version of the healthy juice. Also with a high powered blender you can blend it a a shorter period of time, this means that there is less heat and friction and hence less of the nutrients and minerals of the vegetables and fruit are destroyed when making it this way. This is why they say cold pressed juices are the most nutrient packed as the juices are juiced with minimum heat. However my method is a good alternative because you are still getting the benefits of a healthy juice at a cheaper and more convenient method.
Drinking juices made with vegetables is a good addition to your daily routine as its a quick way of getting the goodness of raw food into your diet. However when starting out, you may have it once our twice a week and hence jumping into purchasing a juicer is not required. Further buying every latest appliance to have a healthier diet can become quite expensive. A standard high powered blender is a good start and can be used even to make healthy juices at home. It’s a cost effective method to taking steps to eating healthy and can be done by anyone at home! I hope I have inspired you to make healthy juices at home especially with my simple beetroot juice recipe.
