Hello! I am so excited to share this recipe for my favourite juice ever- beetroot pomegranate juice! Made with the simplest of simple ingredients of beetroot, pomegranate and oranges. This is my favourite go to drink and I have started drinking this so often! The beetroot and pomegranate adds a great dose of antioxidants and nutrients, the orange and lemon juice adds vitamin C and a good does of tangy flavour.
This beetroot pomegranate juice is an antioxidant packed juice and the dark redness is really recharging your body and energising you. Beetroots as you know, are one of my favourite vegetables and I use it in almost everything. It has great health benefits. It can reduce your blood pressure levels almost immediately. This is due to the presence of natural nitrates in beets which helps in improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure. It is also great to improve your stamina, energy and endurance again due to the presence of nitrates, making the juice recipe perfect before an exercise routine or work out. The red colour comes from betaine which helps reduce inflammation and prevent chronic diseases. Another fantastic natural antioxidant in this beetroot pomegranate juice is the pomegranate. Tangy and sweet, these red jewels are packed with an unimaginable amount of nutrients. One of the compounds found in the juice and skin of pomegranates called Punicalagins is high in anti-oxidants considered to be three times more powerful than red wine or green tea. This helps in fighting inflammation of the base causes for diseases like arthritis, heart disease, types of cancer and Type 2 Diabetes. Pomegranate juice can help reduce the risk of heart disease by preventing oxidation of the LDL cholesterol particles. Like beetroot it can help in lowering blood pressure and improving stamina and exercise performance due to the high presence of nitrates.
Now don’t think this beetroot pomegranate juice is the best rejuvenating, energy enhancing, health boosting drink ever! I do not have a juicer so I my blender to make the juice and add water. I then use a nut milk bag to squeeze out the goodness of the vegetable and fruit.
